About Promu.net

A coupon publisher that puts readers first, not commissions.

Promu was founded after the Honey lawsuit because the deals industry had a trust problem the incumbents weren't going to solve themselves. Our model: editorial review, transparent affiliate disclosure, no dark UX, no commission-driven rankings.

Why we built Promu

The coupon industry was waiting for a reset.

By late 2024, the dominant coupon brand — Honey — was facing a class-action lawsuit for redirecting affiliate commissions away from independent publishers, while quietly suppressing better codes to keep its merchant relationships intact.

The industry response was silence. So our team built Promu around three principles:

  1. Editorial review on every code. Codes go live only after a human editor verified them on a sandbox cart.
  2. Inline affiliate disclosure. Every commission, on every link, labelled where you can see it.
  3. Ranking by success-rate, not commission. The code that works best for the most readers is on top — even if it pays us less.

Editorial standards

Our editorial floor (and ceiling).

Promu meets or exceeds Google's Helpful Content Update bar on every page we publish.

400+ words original per page

Every store page has editorial commentary beyond a code list — context on the merchant, the renewal trap, when not to redeem.

Human review on AI drafts

AI may scaffold a first draft. A human editor verifies, rewrites, and stamps every page before publication.

Sandbox cart verification

Every active code is redeemed against a real cart on the merchant's checkout page. No code goes live untested.

48h re-verification cycle

Every active code on Promu is re-tested at least once every 48 hours. Codes with <60% redemption success are pulled.

Affiliate disclosure inline

Commission is disclosed next to every affiliate link, not buried in the footer.

No reveal-gate

You see every code without giving us an email. Email opt-in is for the weekly digest only.

The team

Real humans behind every code.
